Hello Kappans,

Here we are ready to embark on another year of higher education and continued community service. I am really excited about this year as we have a wonderful group of energetic and dedicated individuals in key leadership roles that will allow our organization to maintain the standard of excellence that Phi Theta Kappa – Alpha Upsilon Alpha has come to be known for! We also have the continued support of our most excellent advisors. As we set forth in our efforts this year, I encourage all Phi Theta Kappa members to attend member meetings and become an active part in our endeavors.

For those of you who do not know me, my name is Kyle Bennett and I am this year’s president. I have been a student at MCC since the Fall of 2004 and I am looking forward to graduating with two associate degrees next May. My areas of study are Therapeutic Recreation and Sports and Exercise Studies. After serving as last year’s vice-president, I have built up the confidence to step up as president; and I am confident in our leadership team’s ability to carry on our proud tradition of service to our school and community.

In addition to having a strong leadership team to lead our chapter, AUA also has the good fortune to have three regional officers this year! Ashley Odell and Michelle Nickerson are both serving the region as Officers-At-Large, and I am also serving the region as this year’s Southern Vice-President. Together we hope to be able to help the New England Region to have an excellent year as well.

Our aim is to keep everyone informed in order to provide all with the opportunity to become involved. I am looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible and working along side you as well!
